Amazing!

I loved this and the developments it brought! I love Ruby and the fact that she's leading an underground resistance that even the fallen didn't know about until she approached Michael!

We also met our first male nephilim, they've all been female till know, he was crushing on Ruby although he apparently had a huge crush on her mother (and that's not creepy to transfer your crush to the daughter after the mothers death!) but now he seems to have a crush on Lily.

I kinda don't want him with her though, I really want to get the story of how Lily and Seth became estranged and would love a story arc that see's them reconciled cause it's obvious that Seth still has strong feelings for Lily.

I love Jason and I loved him and Ruby as a couple. They were good together. The overall series plot is really moved forward in this book with the Fallen finally getting recorded proof of the angels plans for mankind. Unfortunately they also lost more Fallen which again I'm sad about.

I'd like to know where the human officials they rescued were taken as it wasn't said although I'm sure they've been taken somewhere safe and hopefully out of reach of the angels as they can confirm what the fallen are saying. I'm also still hoping that some of the angels will in the end side with the fallen after realising that the plans to eradicate humankind are wrong! I'm hoping that when the war is over (and I'm hoping the fallen and humankind win it!) that they'll all build a society where they can all live peaceably together!

Angel's Kiss by Rosalie Lario was a wonderful love story. We see the development of the romantic relationship between Ruby who is the leader of a small rebel group and Jason, one of our gorgeous "Fallen. Ruby does not want to fall in love, she fights it up to the end but she still can't deny the connection she feels for Jason because how can you not want one very sexy, HOT angel. Jason is so sweet, so kind and caring, he only wants Ruby to love him, as he loves her; he does not want to smother her, only to let her be what she was meant to be. Some of the characters from the rebel group sound very interesting, hope to see more of them and having some of the other Fallen angels included helped to give this story more depth and continuance. The Fallen are slowly gaining evidence in their fight against the angels but at the same time losing so many. I look forward to the next segment in this great story, maybe with the possible inclusion of the hinted love triangle.

Is it worth letting yourself fall in love if you might lose your lover in the upcoming war?

Ruby is a strong heroine, leading a group of rebels in preparation for the upcoming war with the angels. Jason is a super sweet and sexy fallen angel who will be helping train Ruby, the woman he discovered is his mate. The two of them work together to train for battle, and to help expose the angels for the horrible creatures that they really are.

I loved this story! There was a sweet buildup to the romantic relationship with sexual tension and some steamy scenes. The two characters worked really well together and truly respected each other. The action and suspense were great, and we got to see the overall arc of the story move forward. There were also teasers for future stories with some of the other characters, and nice interplay with early characters. Another solid winner in this series!

A superb novel which describes the use of Diesel, SSN's and SSBN's operations during the cold war. As a former submariner the story brought back many good and bad memories for me.

How terrorists seek to define themselves

This is a unique book and a vital one if you are interested in terrorist groups. The book has a short chapter on each group, providing a paragraph or two on the background and history of the group, a timeline, a high-quality line drawing of the group's logo with color definitions and the full-color logo. It goes further, explaining the symbology behind the logo.

These logos are important to each group's self-identity, as well as to the identity the group wishes to broadcast to its friends and enemies. It includes a wide range of active groups, from al-Qaeda to the Red Brigades. It does not include ALL the groups, as not all of them have branding and there is some disagreement as to whether other groups are terror groups. The book includes a list of terror groups, including those not featured. A very handy book to have. Also, a unique study of this particular kind of branding.

timely handbook for identification of terrorist groups

The Steven Heller doing the Foreword is the noted designer and design critic who as former art director at the N. Y. Times has written or co-authored over 100 books on design and popular culture. In the three-page Foreword, he briefly covers the purpose of logos in general, the grounds for critiquing the logos of the groups whose logos appear in the book (e. g., cliche, too many guns or eagles), and compares the logos to those of the Catholic Church, Coca-Cola, Apple, and other major established cultural presences.

Logotypes and iconography are intended not only as a means of communication--often in the simple terms of "sending a message"--and identity in the public and international sphere, but also as a means of internal, often secret or guarded identification, focus, and cohesion for members of a particular group.

Artur Beifuss is a counter-terrorist analyst for the United Nations. Francesco Bellini is a graphic designer involved in branding for companies and institutions. In Beifuss's Introduction, he notes the logos as a way of branding for a group. Beifuss also notes the book's purpose to help understand by a survey of the 64 logos collected mostly from open sources such as websites "why certain visual elements are preferred over others [and the] certain meanings, emotions, and values" attached to such elements.

The schema used for accomplishing the book's purpose is the same for each "logo". Under the heading of the respective group is its name in the script of its national language (many in Arabic) followed by the translation or approximation in English. Underneath this is a brief overview of the group, and underneath this a chronology of it major terrorist acts. The second page is a plain, black-and-white, drawing of the group's logotype with lines to notes pointing out its features above a chart breaking down the colors and associated pantone coding for each. The last, third, page is a full-color picture of the logotype with explanations of the meaning of its colors, elements, and symbols.

The book would be used by most as a reference to find out more about Middle East and other terrorist groups defined as groups using violence for political or ideological aims when specific or related groups were mentioned in the media, for example. Since many of the groups are similar, the details of each start to run together when used as a study text. However one regards this work, it has a distinctive, notable, self-evidently relevant and useful place in contemporary studies of the global terrorism.

I bought this because I like to seed my bookshelf with some talking pieces. Little did I know that this book is ABSURDLY well researched. Like... whomever put this together is probably on some watch lists now. This is actually a bizarre and off center perspective on a topical issue in contemporary politics.

About the Author
Micalle Culver was born in Anchorage, Alaska on October 5, 1972. She has two daughters and is the eldest of eight children. Ever since Micalle was a child, her mother has expressed the importance of literary skills and passed on to her children the love of words and the gift of writing. Micalle began a career in media at an early age producing copy for innumerable radio, television, and newspaper advertisements. She later began a career in real estate wherein she met and became involved with a married man. The experience drew Micalle into deep reflection, compelling her to research similar types of relationships and their effect on all who surround and are involved in an affair. Through her extensive findings, Micalle was inspired to share her research with others and thus, she embarked upon the journey of authorship. More than anything, Micalle enjoys spending time with her daughters and fifteen nieces and nephews with whom she has discovered the fountain of youth. Her other interests include history and travel, as well as psychology, philosophy, and spiritual studies.

Apt depiction of an affair from the other woman's perspective

Culver doesn't seem like the most likable woman in the world. She sounds vain and self-centered. She actually considered asking the wife of the affair partner to contribute a chapter to this book. I would have loved to see how that conversation would have gone!
But if you can get past that, she is very clear (with the benefit of hindsight) on the "other woman" experience and she offers good advice to wives. Wives, the good news is that you have more leverage than you may think.

Too specific to one type of affair and circumstance.

Not really what I expected or needed. By the middle of the book I was done. I want something that deals more with helping the other woman through the emotional turmoil causing and resulting from an affair so that they can become emotionally healthier. I work with many women dealing with this and there is just nothing out there in the form of literature for these individuals.

Relatable information for those who have been there.

I enterd into a relationship with a man and did not know he was married until almost a year later. I was totally devastated, but was already so emotionally invested ( we had plans to marry) that I stayed in the relationship. Now, over 3 years later he is still married and we are no longer together. Micalle's stories hit home with me and helped me to see things that I hadn't in a year of counseling. I urge any woman out there in this situation to read this book. But before that, I urge every woman out there to walk the other way, or just say NO to a relationship with a married man. IT IS NOT WORTH IT!!!
